Former Chief Operating Officer, Deputy County/City Manager and two-time CFO of thriving counties and cities, Johnna Sharpe is a government operations expert with 30+ years of experience in nearly every area of local government.
Known as a “fixer” and “swiss army knife” partner, she helps government leaders pinpoint strategic solutions for a wide range of issues from delayed audits, to inefficient financial systems, and long-range planning. Prior to becoming an action-focused consultant in 2022, Johnna spent three decades in public service executive leadership roles in Wake County, NC, Portsmouth, VA, and Norfolk, VA.

Originally from Winston-Salem, NC, Johnna is a proud graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration / Accounting. She also holds an Executive Certificate in Public Leadership from Harvard Kennedy School.
Johnna currently lives in Raleigh, NC. When she’s not partnering with government leaders, she’s happy at home enjoying quality time with her husband, Charles, and their two cats named for iconic siblings, Luke and Leia (pictured here).
