Privacy Policy

Johnna Sharpe LLC operates johnnasharpe.com and offers SHARPe & Steady™ products through sharpe-steady.com, a product-sales site hosted through Mastermind. This policy explains what information I collect or receive, why I use it, who may process it, and what you can ask me to do about it. I keep this short on purpose. If anything here is unclear, email me at js@johnnasharpe.com and I will answer plainly.

What this policy covers

This policy covers information collected through johnnasharpe.com and sharpe-steady.com and information I receive through connected services used for scheduling, product purchases, payment processing, product access and delivery, customer support, and related communications. SHARPe & Steady™ is a brand of Johnna Sharpe LLC, not a separate business.

This policy does not cover information I handle while performing consulting or other professional services for a client. That information is governed by the written scope, agreement, and data-handling expectations for that engagement.

What I collect

Contact and mailing-list information. When you fill out the contact form on johnnasharpe.com, I collect your first and last name, email address, phone number if you provide it, and whatever you write in the discussion field. When you join my mailing list, I collect your first name, last name, and email address.

Scheduling information. When you schedule a conversation, Mastermind processes the information you submit through the scheduling page and provides the scheduling details to me so I can respond to your request.

Purchase and license information. When you purchase a SHARPe & Steady™ product, I collect or receive the purchaser’s name, email address, the name of the organization receiving the license, the product purchased, and related order information. If a product requires an account or login, Mastermind may also collect account and access information needed to provide the product.

Payment information. Payments are processed through Stripe within the Mastermind checkout process. Stripe and Mastermind may collect billing, payment, fraud-prevention, and transaction information. Johnna Sharpe LLC may receive transaction details such as the purchaser’s name, email address, organization, amount paid, payment status, transaction identifier, and product purchased. I do not ask you to send payment-card information to me directly.

Support information. If you ask for product support, I collect the information you include in your request. Please do not send completed organizational records, audit workpapers, payroll information, banking information, account numbers, or other sensitive organizational data for product support.

Website and device information. Squarespace and Mastermind may automatically collect technical and usage information such as IP address, browser and device information, pages viewed, referring site, approximate location, and interactions with the site. The exact information collected can vary based on platform settings and features used.

Why I collect it

I use information to reply to you, schedule conversations, process and document purchases, identify the licensed organization, provide receipts and product access, deliver purchased resources, respond to support questions, maintain accounting and license records, prevent fraud or misuse, comply with legal requirements, and understand which pages and resources are useful.

I use your email address for product-related and transactional communications when necessary to complete or support your purchase. I use it for general marketing only when you have separately asked to receive those communications.

I do not sell your information. I do not provide it to advertisers for their independent marketing use.

Product communications and marketing

A product purchase does not automatically add you to the general SHARPe & Steady™ marketing list. Product access messages, receipts, support replies, security notices, and other communications directly related to a purchase are separate from marketing messages.

If you separately opt in, I may send practical resources, webinar announcements, new-product information, and occasional SHARPe & Steady™ updates. Every marketing email will include a way to unsubscribe. Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent necessary messages about a product you purchased or an account you use.

Who else can see or process it

Squarespace hosts johnnasharpe.com and may store contact-form and mailing-list information and provide site-usage information. Mastermind hosts the product-sales experience and processes scheduling, order, account, delivery, and site-usage information. Stripe processes payment and transaction information. My email provider processes messages sent to or from me. Limited information may also be shared with my accountant, attorney, insurer, or other professional advisers when reasonably necessary to operate the business, comply with law, or protect legal rights.

I may disclose information if legally required or if reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, protect the security of the sites or products, enforce an agreement, or protect the rights and safety of Johnna Sharpe LLC or others.

How long I keep it

Contact-form submissions are kept as long as they are useful for our conversation or working relationship and then no longer. Mailing-list information is kept until you unsubscribe or ask me to remove it.

Purchase, payment, license, product-access, and support records are kept as reasonably necessary to deliver the product, administer access and licensing, maintain accounting and tax records, address disputes or chargebacks, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations. The retention period may vary based on the type of record and the reason it is needed.

What you can ask me to do

Email js@johnnasharpe.com and ask me to tell you what personal information I hold about you, correct information that is wrong, delete information that is no longer needed, or stop sending marketing email. I will respond plainly and will honor the request where reasonably possible and legally permitted.

I may need to keep certain purchase, accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, license, dispute, or legal records even after a deletion request. Every marketing email will also include an unsubscribe link.

Cookies and tracking

johnnasharpe.com uses Squarespace cookies and similar technologies needed for security, forms, site operation, and basic site analytics. Johnna Sharpe LLC does not currently add Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, or session-recording technology to johnnasharpe.com.

sharpe-steady.com is hosted through Mastermind. Mastermind uses cookies and similar technologies, including analytics technologies, as described in its privacy statement. The exact cookies and tracking technologies used on the product site may depend on the platform configuration and features enabled.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, although doing so may affect scheduling, checkout, login, product access, or other site functions.

Keep your data in your environment

SHARPe & Steady™ products are designed to be downloaded and used within the customer’s approved technology environment. Once you add organizational information, keep the completed or working files within that environment.

Do not upload or send completed files or records containing organizational data to Johnna Sharpe LLC, Mastermind, or a product-support request. For support, use the original blank SHARPe & Steady™ file, describe the issue, or provide a fully sanitized example or screenshot that contains no confidential, sensitive, personally identifiable, financial-account, or other protected information.

Children

The websites and products are intended for adults working in and around local government. They are not directed at children, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

Security

Information is stored and processed within the systems used to operate the websites and business, including Squarespace, Mastermind, Stripe, and email services. I use reasonable administrative and operational safeguards appropriate for a small business, but no method of transmitting or storing information over the internet is completely secure, and I cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes

If I change this policy, I will update the effective date at the top. Material changes will be noted on the policy page. I will review this policy again after the final Mastermind sales, checkout, account, email, cookie, and analytics settings are confirmed.
